How do you thank your body for everything it does for you?

thank-your-body

All physical activities like playing sports and lifting heavy weights puts stress on your body.

By no means does that mean physical activities are bad for you. Of course physical activity is good for you, but you also have to make sure you are taking steps to say thank you and relieve that stress from your body. There are five things you need to include in your routine to thank your body so that you stay healthy and at the top of your game.

  1. Breathing Drills
  2. Mobility Work
  3. Soft Tissue Work
  4. Stretching
  5. Moving and Lifting Properly (easily the most important)

These things don’t have to be time consuming or take away from your program. The goal is just get the body moving properly, keeping it healthy so you can continue to perform at its best.

You can thank your body by doing a mobility warm up, self-myofascial release (foam rolling), or simply stretching when you’re done working out 2-3 days a week. This will help keep your body moving properly, keep your muscles fresh and strong, and leave you constantly ready to perform.

It’s your body, and you’re going to get what you put into it. So take care of your body, spend a couple extra minutes to focus on the little things, so the big things become easier.

Everybody appreciates a “thank you,” it’s a small gesture but can go a long way. YOUR BODY NEEDS TO BE THANKED TOO!

Next week, I will have a post for you with a sample mobility warm up that you can use every day.

I hope you like this post, take care of your body and please share!!
